Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent in space travel. Kristin's parents were each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since employed as a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Using her skills on the set, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
